Performance at Le Corbusier High School

Why did you choose the theme of water?

“This year, my colleague Ms. Laumailler and I decided to focus on the theme of water at Le Corbusier High School,” explains Ms. Ancey. This decision builds on a commitment already underway as part of the regional project “One for All, All for Water.” This project, described as “structural,” has engaged the teaching staff

and students throughout the year.

What is the EcoTizen program?

“EcoTizen is a very enjoyable program to implement. It’s effective, short, and above all, very educational.” Ms. Ancey outlines the three main phases:

- Day 1: the launch. A rotating workshop with the three 10th-grade classes helped introduce the theme and engage the youngest students, ensuring that best practices take root for the long term.

- March 11–27: Three weeks of challenges. Students took on daily challenges via the EcoTizen app. These fun and varied challenges helped reinforce the concepts in an interactive way. “A team of senior students and a team of teachers even joined the program, demonstrating the widespread enthusiasm.” ”

- March 26: Closing ceremony. A program closing ceremony provided an opportunity to take stock, award certificates, and recognize the most active team.

What was the students' feedback?

“The program was very well received; the students were very

motivated. ” “Some of them came up to us afterward and said, ‘We’d really like to set up this project—how can we get involved at our school?’” The educational benefits exceeded expectations: bonding, enriching discussions, and genuine collective enthusiasm.

What is EcoTizen, in a nutshell?

For Ms. Laumailler, the program can be summed up in three words: “educational, fun, and accessible.” She emphasizes that this combination has made it possible to engage as many students as possible by conveying rich content in an engaging way. Ms. Ancey, for her part, particularly highlights “the team’s good spirits, teaching skills, and willingness to help,” elements that, in her view, contributed significantly to the program’s success and to the creation of “a sense of healthy competition within the classes that was very beneficial.” Both emphasize the quality of the experience, for both students and supervisors, with genuine bonds formed around the theme of water.

In conclusion: “A truly wonderful experience—one to be repeated!”
